It's not close to flood stage here, but it's still pretty impressive. Note that the lock on the left has been turned into a spillway to divert flow away from the falls.

Tim Voss > Mickey's Diner at Night; Saint Paul, Minnesota Ah, Mickey's... It's been St. Paul's favorite greasy spoon for many years. The dining car was built in 1937 by the Jerry O' Mahony Company in New Jersey. The car was shipped to St. Paul and opened for business on this same spot in 1939. It has been resisting the march of time and urban renewal efforts ever since. By the bye, it's not a real railroad car.
