Winter is my favorite season. The North Shore of Lake Superior is my favorite place on the planet. Here are some snowy and icy images taken over a week in December 2007. The trip began with a 12 to 18 inch dump of snow and ended with another 3 inches. It was cold and the snowshoeing was wonderful. Most of the photos were taken in Cascade River State Park and Grand Marais, Minnesota.
